Vallo di Nera (PG): the seismic improvement preserves the buildings from the earthquakeDuring the news programme, Rai 1 TV channel broadcast an interview with the Mayor of Vallo di Nera (Perugia), a small village near Norcia. Destroyed by the earthquake in 1979, Vallo di Nera was rebuilt with a special care for seismic improvement. The respect for earthquake regulations, the study of historical documents and the involvement of the population allowed this village to be born again and the interventions that took place that time protected the little town from the recent earthquake occurred on October, 26th-30th, 2016: as a matter of fact, despite being so near to the epicentres of the main tremors, the buildings did not suffer any damages. The seismic retrofit was carried out by Architect Zivieri and Engineer Guidetti from Ingegneri Riuniti.
