Structural design of an industrial warehouse for OMCO FENIKS Ingegneri Riuniti has completed the structural design of a new foundry for the creation of molds - used for the production of glass elements - which will be made in Žalec (Slovenia) in an OMCO FENIKS factory, owned by the Belgian company OMCO INTERNATIONAL. IR has designed the elevation structures, the related structural nodes and the ones connecting to the foundations, in addition to a series of secondary structures of support of the equipment located inside the shed, such as the structure of the filter machine, the support structure of the storage silos for raw materials and the structure of the cooling scaffolding. The project involves the construction of an industrial metal warehouse with a height of about 17m and an extension of approximately 39m x 11m. with different structural plans associated with the main structure and positioned at different heights according to the positioning requirements of the factory machinery. The floors are connected with each other at several points by ramps and stairs, also made of metallic carpentry. All vertical (columns and pillars) and horizontal structures (floor beams, façade elements and horizontal beams) were made with open profiles, while the bracing elements were made with rectangular/squared section tubulars and interlocking profiles.
