New roundabout between via Liguria and via Toscana in Modena

As already announced some time ago, the new roundabout between via Liguria, via Toscana and via Morane has been opened to transit - coinciding with the beginning of the school year; for this infrastructure, Ingegneri Riuniti supervised the project and the management of the works, which started last June.

When the roundabout opens to traffic, a further phase of the works will follow, with the construction of several traffic islands, as well as pedestrian paths, and finally the construction of the lighting systems of the area. With the cycle path and the sidewalk, the roundabout will measure a diameter of about 40 metres and will be completed by the end of September, excluding the “green” part, whose construction is affected by the effects of seasonality.

This work is the first part of the urbanization project concerning the Morane-Vaciglio sector, for a value of 5 million Euros; not only it provides road works, but also infrastructures aimed at strengthening the water network system, as well as works of noise mitigation to be carried out in anticipation of the construction of various social housing, complexes, etc., already approved by the Council.

Moreover, the works for the construction of an urban forest have already started - for a value of 450 thousand Euros; these woods will rise inside the area and will become a genuine green lung for the new residential sector.
