EXPO 2015: Towards the Opening!

Ingegneri Riuniti took part in a survey about the spreading of materials on the Italian building market, carried out by the Politecnico di Milano, in collaboration with Fondazione Promozione Acciaio. On that occasion, our company illustrated its interventions aiming at renovating and improving the earthquake resistance of the so called "Distribution Center” building, inside the area of a leading pharmaceutical company which operates in the biomedical sector, that was severely damaged by the earthquake occurred on May, 20th and 29th, 2012 in the area of Modena. The building is approximately 6,200 square meters and houses a warehouse, an office area and a reception and rest area for lorry drivers; for its renewal approximately 456 tons of steel have been used, subsequently protected with an intumescent coating.

Our research aims at getting to know the spreading and use of the various materials used in the non-residential building sectors and its results will be shown during Expo 2015 events.
