Giuseppe Iadarola has been confirmed as Regional Delegate for OICE in Emilia RomagnaWe have just received the press release from OICE, Association of Italian Engineering, Architectural and Technical-Economic Consulting, and we hereby post it. We would like to congratulate Giuseppe Iadarola, President of Ingegneri Riuniti, and wish him good luck in his work! Giuseppe Iadarola has been confirmed as Regional Delegate for OICE in Emilia Romagna On March, 14th, 2017, the Board of Directors of OICE (Association of Italian Engineering, Architectural and Technical-Economic Consulting) approved the appointment of Engineer Giuseppe Iadarola, President of Ingegneri Riuniti S.p.A. of Modena, as Regional Delegate for OICE in Emilia Romagna. Engineer Iadarola's election occurred on March, 1st, 2017, in Modena, on the occasion of the meeting that took place at the premises of the Italian Manufacturers' Association (Confindustria) in Modena, under the supervision of the Chief Executive of OICE, Andrea Mascolini, Doctor in Law. Engineer Giuseppe Iadarola, who had already been appointed Regional Delegate for OICE in Emilia Romagna from 2014 to 2017, has been confirmed for the three-year period from 2017 to 2020. The re-elected Regional Delegate for OICE in Emilia Romagna has expressed his great satisfaction, declaring that: "Even in our regional sphere, it is necessary to go on following the path that has already been marked out by the code of the public contracts as far as technological innovation (BIM) and development of the technical skills are concerned; moreover, we need to adapt quickly to other European and international realities, that have already acknowledged and implemented an integrated planning approach. This process can affect enormously the planning quality and the project supervision, in terms of time and costs, of the public works and the interventions ordered by big purchasers". The forthcoming publication of a new amended Tender Code as far as the confrontation with other regional Associates is concerned pointed out the need to limit integrated tender calls, exclusively on the basis of a definite project, in case of works with a high level of technological complexity and, in any case, for amounts of money that exceed a certain limit. These requests aim at reaffirming strongly the centrality of the project, in order to guarantee a better planning quality and make the public expenditure effective and efficient.
