The project involved the extraordinary maintenance of the municipal sports field "Pietro Zucchini" in Budrio (BO). The intervention mainly concerned the refurbishment of the sports field's turf and the adaptation of activity and service areas.
The objective was to make the playing field compliant for Serie D matches and to obtain the Fire Prevention Certificate. For this reason, it was decided to expand the playing area and change the turf to artificial grass.
The implemented interventions were as follows:
- Refurbishment of the 11-a-side football field with synthetic turf.
- Demolition of the athletics track.
- Construction of a new women's restroom in the spectators' area for the local team.
- Replacement of sanitary fixtures, toilets, and sinks.
To adapt the 11-a-side football field for Serie D matches, the natural grass playing area was expanded to 104x61m and converted to synthetic turf, with the playing area markings measuring 105x65m.
Externally, buffer zones were created with a width of 2.50m along the short side of the field and a width of 3.50m along the long side.
Securing the sports facility also involved adapting the restroom block for spectators. Therefore, it was decided to create a new women's toilet with an anteroom in the former tennis changing rooms and to expand the men's toilet to install 4 urinals.
The creation of these spaces involved several processes:
- Demolition and reconstruction of internal partitions.
- Installation of sanitary fixtures, toilets, and sinks.
- Installation of the sanitary water system.
- Installation of the electrical system.
