Night rendering of the new showroom and office building
Transparency, interplay of volumes and elegance: these are the key words for the design of the new showroom and office building that will host the Kronos Ceramiche, known in the ceramic landscape of Modena for quality and attention to detail.

Exterior view
The building is only one of the interventions included in the wider project of redevelopment through demolition and reconstruction of an industrial plant of the ceramic district of Fiorano Modenese, within the system of actions aimed at improving urban quality.
In full respect of zero land consumption, the project involves the complete demolition of the existing industrial building, built at different times and severely damaged following a fire. The new project covers an area of about 50,000 square meters and involves the construction of a complex with two structural units: a warehouse and logistics for a ceramic company and a two-storey building dedicated to showrooms and offices.

Planimetria dell'area
The architectural setting of the building combines the formal care of the industrial destination, guided by functionality, with the articulation of the volumes of the building showroom and offices, designed as a valuable element of the entire complex.
The design, developed in close collaboration with the Client, has generated a modern and functional environment with a deep attention to detail and always aimed at the conception of the spaces as interweaving and dialogue between interior and exterior, different materials and functions to be installed.
The building is spread over two floors: the play of volumes and the presence of large portions of glass guide the architectural concept in an elegant and welcoming building, inspired by residences characterized by contemporary design, which is articulated even in the simplicity of its lines and designed to be itself showcase of the products displayed inside.

Detail sections - executive design
The building is made of reinforced concrete and is spread over an area of about 900 square meters per floor. The ground floor houses the showroom of the ceramic company: the free plan creates an open and available environment for different and numerous possibilities of setting up, always evolving. An element of strong characterization is constituted by the central glazed cavedium, which constitutes a source of light for the whole environment; moreover, the glass portions on the external walls overlook green spaces, also object of furniture and exposure.
The first floor, accessible by a cantilever staircase made in situ and covered in stoneware, is intended for offices: the central distribution corridor articulates the rooms with partitions entirely glazed, creating a bright and permeable environment, elegant and designed for maximum operator comfort.
In addition to glass, which is one of the materials characterizing the entire intervention, the external surfaces are covered with stoneware on the ground floor and the coat finish on the first floor: the study of the articulation of materials emphasizes the volumetric play and the study of shading.
