Education

Graduated at the Faculty of Engineering of Bologna in Civil engineering, construction department, with a 98/100 grade, in the academic year 1991/92. The title of the thesis: "Geometric–dimensional, formal and technological aspects of wooden ceilings with regard to the constructive conception of the architectural body. Some case studies in historical manuals and about Ferrara in the Renaissance period.
Research master in Building and Territorial Engineering since 1997.

Professional qualifications

Certified as engineer in the first exam session in 1993, has been on the Register of Engineers of Modena since May 1993.

Special certifications

Holds the necessary professional qualifications to practice as a planning coordinator and the execution of works in compliance with D.Lgs. 494/96.   

Professional experiences

In 1994 starts his professional activity with a contract of exclusive cooperation with Progetto Ambiente Studio Associato and Progetto Ambiente S.r.l.
From 1995 to 1996 is a member of the commission “Public and Institutional Relations ” of the Association of Engineers of the Province of Modena. In 1997 joins Progetto Ambiente.
Since 1997 has been involved in the town planning sector working out Integrated Restoration Plans (Savignano, Guastalla, Botanic garden and Palazzo Rangoni in Castelvetro of Modena) or Plans for urban enhancement (Houses for Workers and Porches of Via Emilia in Castelfranco Emilia), restoration (school Casa del Sole of Rivoli, castle of Montecuccolo in Pavullo), renovation (various private properties in Savignano, Portile, San Damaso of Modena, Castelfranco Emilia, Baiso) combining planning activity, supervision of the work, accountancy, coordination, safety and testing.
In 1998, through the company Progetto Ambiente S.r.l. of which he is a partner, founds In.genia, a group of companies of professionals in a position to supply engineering services and architecture in the civil, industrial and service fields. Contributes to planning the renovation of the Barracks of Scheggia and of downtown of Giove, district of Valtopina, within the works financed after the earthquake of 1997.
Since 1999 has had a contract as a lecturer of the “Laboratory of Technical Architecture II” at the Faculty of Engineering of Bologna and of the classes of “Technological culture of Architecture “ at the Faculty of Architecture of Milano–Bovisa.
From 2000 to 2003 was part of the Technical Committee of the magazine “Planning, Architecture, City, Territory” published by Tecniche nuove S.p.a..
Since 2003 has been the President of Progetto Ambiente S.r.l., Director of the Pool “Leonardo” and Responsible for the Quality of Ingegneri Riuniti.
