INTEGRATED CONTRACTS
The institution of the Integrated Contract – as defined by article 53 of Law 163/2006
– among the implementation systems for public works, allows Public Administrations to promote contracts
that comprise large shares of technology and plant, that is to say in restorations or maintenance, or for
complex works. In all of these situations it can prove convenient – both to shorten bureaucratic time and
for the high quality of technical outcomes – to have recourse to the integrated contract system, which provides
that the contractor undertakes the final design of all the building and plant parts.
